The Flachau Tourist Office offers daily guided hikes for you and your family. These hikes are included for free with the Flachau Summer Card. The Flachau Summer Card is valid from May 29, 2025, to October 3, 2025, and is available with just one overnight stay at our hotel.
Included guided hikes are, for example: to the Marbach Alm, the Path of Good Wishes, Wild Waters, and more.
Make your ascent way easier, gliding gently and effortlessly up the mountain. With the discounted weekly pass, you and your children can use the cableways in Flachau, Wagrain-Kleinarl, and St. Johann-Alpendorf at reduced prices for any 5 days within a 7-day period.

From the village hall in Reitdorf along the main road in the direction of Reitdorf swimming lake, taking path No.2 to the Aigenbauer farm. From there, take path No. 40, climbing gently through the forest. In about 1 hour, you will reach the Pürstingbauer farm with marvelous views across Ennstal valley. Then, continue along the mountain road to the Steinlehenbauer. Now, walk for about 400 meters down across a field until you find yourself just below the Maderlehenbauer farm, then follow the paved road to Gasthof Burnstein. Path No. 2 will now lead you via the Oberlehengut and Aignerbauer back to Reitdorf.

Coming from the Reitdorf village hall, shortly before the Reitdorf swimming lake make a left, following paths Nos. 8 and 7 over the Reiteck and continuing to Schloss Höch. From there, take a beautiful path mainly through forest (No. 38). Passing the Höchzulehen "Kropf" (an unstaffed hut), after walking for about 1 hour you will reach a sharp curve. From here, a roughly 800 m long trail leads to the Eibensteinweg, which in turn brings you to the Klemmbauer farm, then back to Reitdorf.

From the village hall in Reitdorf along the village road for around 500 meters as far as Haus Vogelmühle, where you will turn left, walk underneath the autobahn, then continue via the paved Feuersangweg path for about 2 km. Alternatively, take path No. 31 uphill as far as the junction. Here, make a left towards the Demlbauer farm and continue on a meadow path to Berggasthof Winterbauer (very good food & drink). Now make your way on path No. 73 down to Altenmarkt, and from there use the bike-/footpath next to the road returning you to Reitdorf.

Family hike with an easy ascent on the sunny side of Eben, mostly on forest paths through shady woods, but also with beautiful views. The return hike can be done via three different path or, in some instances, on hiking trails.
From
the town center, walk along the footpath to the Eder Bakery, then cross the
railway on Allee Street and keep left. After 40 meters, turn right into a part
of town known as “Edt”. Walk until you reach the Edthof (youth guesthouse),
keep left at the parking area, and follow the yellow signs along the path. When
the path meets up with forest path No. 12 (KITIWAPF), continue right until the
junction for Moosalm/Reitlehenalm. Keep left there and follow the path to the Reitlehenalm.

Starting point of this tour is the parking area in Filzmoos. From there, head towards Ramsau and turn right over the Warme Mandling. Through the forest to the Moosalm and to the Moosalm snack station. Continue on path No. 464, slightly left, up to the ridge. Follow the ridgeline on path No. 460 towards the west, past the transmission mast. Leave the Dr. März Weg path (No. 463, option to return to the valley) on the right. Pass by the Radstätter Hütte on your way up to the summit. For your return, you can either take the Dr. März Weg or walk via the Karalm. Both routes will take you approximately the same amount of time.

From the center of Flachau, head towards the valley station of the Starjet 1 lift and continue to the Pfeiffei Alm. Cross the meadow to reach hiking path No. 42. Now continue partially on path No. 41. Above Berggasthof Latschenhof, turn right onto hiking path No. 41. Pass the war memorial crosses and follow the "Schneid" to the top of the Griessenkareck (elev. 1991 m).
The next stage leads you over the Saukarfunktel (2028 m) to the Saukarkopf (2014 m). Turn at the junction leading via path No. 41 to the Frauenalm, then on path No. 45 dropping down towards the valley and Flachauwinkl. From that point, either walk towards Flachau on path No. 1 or ride the Sportwelt bus from the "Flachau Steinfeld" stop".

Ambitious hikers use the Hahnbaum as the starting point for their expedition up to the famous Hochgründeck. The long hike is rewarded with a view of around 300 peaks (Hochkönig, Tennengebirge, Dachstein, Niedere and Hohe Tauern, Kitzbühel Alps, and Dienten Slate Mountains).
The Hochgründeck is one of the highest forested mountains in Europe and is justifiably considered one of the most beautiful vantage points in all of Austria. It is a hiking destination for the whole family and can be comfortably reached via well-maintained paths from four different locations in 1 to 3 hours. Admire the magnificent mountain panorama as well as the incomparable sunrises and sunsets.

This stroller-friendly adventure trail is perfect for families with children of all ages. Numerous delightful play and puzzle stations – featuring a zipline, swings, climbing walls, and slides – are certain to thrill the kids. For those who crack Flori's secret codeword, there is even a small surprise to take home as a marvelous souvenir.
The signposted hiking loop known as "Flori's Erlebnispfad" begins right next to the Waldgasthof inn. In the month of October, the mountain lifts do not run. However, during this time you can also drive up in your own car.
