Arrival to Flachau - Hotel Felsenhof in Austria

Our hotel is located in the center of the SalzburgerLand, about 70 km south of Salzburg and is very easy to reach both summer and winter.

Go along the Tauern motorway towards Villach - take the Flachau exit
at the 1st traffic circle, turn off towards Wagrain (Reitdorf)
at the 2nd traffic circle, turn off towards Altenmarkt (Reitdorf)
after approx. 1 km, turn left into Reitdorf

The 14 kilometer long section between Golling and Werfen with a total of five tunnels no longer meets the necessary safety standards.
Therefore, extensive rehabilitation measures will take place here until June 2025. Switching to public transport is all the more recommended here. The attractive offers and packages for public travel to SalzburgerLand provide an alternative to the car. Additional trains from the Salzach and Ennspongau regions run during the construction phases and are already integrated into the regular timetable. Scheduled buses on the highway will be prioritized. Additional buses, such as the express route of line 270 (Lungau-Eben/Pg-Salzburg) will be used.

• The ÖBB-Railjet runs every half hour and about 30 times a day from Vienna to Salzburg, the journey time is 2:22 hours.
• From 15.12.2023, there will be two direct connections per weekend from Vienna to Pinzgau (Zell am See, Saalfelden) all year round. In the winter season (16.12.2023 - 07.04.2024) as well as in the summer season (29.06. - 08.09.2024), this offer will be additionally supplemented by a third direct connection.
• "SparSchiene" tickets: from many cities in Austria, you can travel to Salzburg for as little as € 19.90!
• On busy travel days, a seat reservation is recommended, available from € 3,- online or at the ÖBB ticket counter.
• Your destination station for your arrival by train is Radstadt, which is about 12 km away from Hotel Felsenhof and is served by regional trains several times a day. Alternatively, it is also possible to travel to Altenmarkt or Bischofshofen. These stations can also be reached regularly by regional train. We are happy to pick you up from the train station Radstadt, Altenmarkt or Bischofshofen.

From December 2023, the journey to SalzburgerLand will be even more comfortable thanks to the use of state-of-the-art ICE trains.

• Children up to 14 years of age travel free of charge when accompanied by a person at least 15 years old.
